To secure a place in a Linguista program, please return the enrolment form together with payment or book online at www.linguista.ca
Payment of fees
On receipt of the application and payment, a letter of confi rmation is sent with a Statement of Fees which should be settled at least 4 weeks
before the program starting date. In the case of registration less than 6 weeks before the program starting date, the full amount of the cost of the
program must be sent with the Registration Form. PLEASE NOTE: students will not be allowed to start their program unless FULL PAYMENT
has been received by Linguista.
Students will receive details of their Homestay address at least 5 days before the program start date, unless they enrol late. This enables those
students travelling independently to let the host family know of their approximate time of arrival.
There is no latest registration date for programs, but it is advisable to book at least 1 month before the program start date.
Insurance
All international students who are in Canada must have their own medical insurance. Students must provide proof of coverage on the fi rst
day of school or they will not be admitted to class. Students who do not possess medical insurance on the fi rst day of school will be required to
purchase it. Students will be liable for the full costs of any medical treatment they receive in Canada.
Students are responsible for ensuring that they have the correct visa status to study in Canada. Full details of visa requirements are available
at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp. Linguista will advise Immigration Canada of international students studying on student authorization who withdraw from Linguista.
If Linguista receives the cancellation before the program starting date, Linguista will retain the deposit.
If a student is denied a visitor visa or study permit and provides Linguista with a copy of the rejection letter on or before the fi rst day of classes,
Linguista will refund the course fees.
The student must give written notice to the Director of Studies. A cancellation fee of 1 week’s program fees will be charged. The remaining
funds will be refunded. Students who enroll or pay through an educational agent and are granted a refund will receive that refund from the
agent. Students who pay Linguista directly will be refunded in the same form as the original payment (credit card, cash or cheque). No fees will
be transferred to another student in lieu of a refund. If a student wishes to be absent from the program for 1 or 2 weeks for the purposes of taking
a holiday s/he must give the Director of Studies at least 2 week’s notice in writing. Students will have this time deferred to the end of their
program.
All Linguista students are eligible to transfer part of their program to another Linguista school free of charge subject to any difference in program
fees.
Upon written notice to the Director of Studies, students may transfer to another program provided there is space available. Students who choose
to exchange their original choice of program for one of greater value must pay the difference between the two at the time of requesting the upgrade.
Students are expected to attend all classes and be on time. Teachers may refuse entrance to a student who arrives 10 minutes after the start of
the class. Students must attend at least 85% of their classes to receive a graduation certifi cate. Students intending to be absent from class must
advise the Director of Studies in writing. In the case of illness, students must immediately advise the school by telephone.

Wherever it is agreed between Linguista and a student that it would be benefi cial for the student to be moved to another Linguista program, only
a program of equivalent cost will be offered by Linguista.
